EMR NYC is looking for radio operators to help assist in the Tour de Staten Island, this isn’t an Ares event but please consider volunteering as a licensed ham. Below is the emailed details.

Tour de Staten Island – Sun April 26, 2020
The Ride
The Tour de Staten Island is a non-competitive ride through the neighborhoods of New York’s southernmost borough. The tour offers route lengths of 35 miles and 50 miles. Both routes are supported by rest stops.
The tour is a ride-at-your-own-pace event on roads open to traffic. Unlike other T.A. borough tours, there will not be an NYPD escort or road closures.
Start: Staten Island Urby parking lot is just north of the Stapleton station, on Murray Hulbert Ave.Meeting at 7:15-7:30 am
Tentative Rest Stop Locations:
Freshkills Park- on the Freshkills Park Rd. entrance located at E. Service Rd and Wild Ave. (open 8am-noon)
Historic Richmond Town – 441 Clarke Ave (open 8am-12:30pm)
Great Kills Park – at the Beach Center, on Buffalo St. (open 10am-2:30pm)
